Acupuncture is an ancient form of medicine tracing back to nearly 2000 years. It promotes balance within the body by using fine needles to balance Qi (pronounced Chee). We believe that Qi can become stuck on a physical and emotional level and the needles encourage the free flow again by alerting the body to a problem area.
Laura Brinton; Acupuncturist Lic Ac, BA(Hons), BSc(Hons) MBAcC
Hi, I’m Laura! My journey to becoming an acupuncturist is anything but conventional. Before I found my passion for Traditional Chinese Medicine, I spent many years immersed in the world of performing arts as a songwriter and musician. I recorded and performed both in the UK and New York, and loved every moment of it.
Over time, I transitioned into the corporate world, taking on roles in operations and finance to support my creative career. However, as often happens, the demands of the corporate world began to overshadow my creative passions. Work became increasingly stressful, and I found myself seeking ways to manage the pressure. That’s when I turned to acupuncture.
I was amazed at how acupuncture helped me, whether it was for musculoskeletal issues, work-related stress, fertility challenges, or persistent headaches. The results were profound, and I became deeply passionate about the healing power of acupuncture. This led me to make a major life change—leaving the business world behind to pursue my true calling.
I trained for nearly four years at the highly regarded College of Chinese Integrated Medicine, earning a BSc (Hons) in Acupuncture. There, I learned the art and science of Five Element Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) under the guidance of some of the most respected teachers in the field.
Today, I’m dedicated to helping others experience the same relief and healing that I found in acupuncture. Whether you’re dealing with stress, pain, or any other health concern, I’m here to help guide you toward balance and wellness.
